Mixed media box


Hello Folks...

 This is Afreen here, today i will be showing you , how to decorate your plain MDF box in to beautiful one.. first i will show you what i made 


Lets move on to the procedure of making this pretty box ... All you need is few embellishments, Acrylic paints and MDF box of desired size

This is the Raw MDF box





I added camlin Gesso to cover all sides of the boxes 

Then added camlin texture paste using TIM Holtz stencil.. Add textures on the top and side portion of the box 


Add embellishments.. arrange them as you wish.. here i used Paper flowers,Metal embellishments, MDF, chipboard, pearls, lace.. 


Cover the embellishments and all sides of the box with black acrylic paint



Then apply some acrylic colors as you wish here and there .. use your fingers to apply paints, so that you can get  nice blending of colors..below is the sample pic i applied single color ..

I added more layers of acrylic colors like Green, turquoise blue, pink, and mica powder to give royal look for it..added some glitter balls using glossy accent.. thats all.. its done now.. here is the some more  glipmse of my box

CAS card

Hello folks,

Today i want to share couple of cards using expressionsstamps stencils.. they are versatile for making cards, mixed media work, scrapbooking, and so on.. i love the quality of stencil and its packaging too... here are the cards


for making this card, take a piece of cardstock and stencil the whole design using distress inks.. then diecut them using Nellie's choice nested circle die  (one circle and 2 frame) now adhere the nested  circle in the cardstock , add washi tape at the bottom  and stamp a senti.. finally adhere it to the base cardstock


In a piece of cardstock stencil the design on the left top  and the right bottom using distress inks amd memento inks, then mix gesso with purple acrylic and splatter  here and there, now add washi at the bottom, add senti , now adhere the card to the base black cardstock..

Shopping for my baby - Mixed media

Hello Lovely people,

Am happy to be back after a short break.. today am extremely happy that am back to crafting just because  i want to try the stamp by Expressionsstamps.. trust me guys i just love the quality of the stamp and its packaging... it comes up with polythene bag which has a button closure and a little hanger to store your stamps easily..wihout anyfurther delay here is my project


For making this  take 3 piece of chipboard in various size  adhere pattern sheets over it, for the base layer mix small beads with a gesso and apply them where ever you want, let it dry, now mix diamond dust with gesso and apply them in the blank spaces it will give you nice  texture let it dry. Now add the 2nd &3rd layer follow the same procedure


apply acrylic paints of your choice , adhere some embellishments coat them with gesso let it dry, add mica powder where ever you want just to add beauty to your project.. for center layering i stamped some images from shopping for my baby stamp set using archival ink.
